West Sonoma County Teachers of the Year

March 14, 2016

Congratulations to Analy math teacher Walt Hays and Special Education Consortium teacher Katya Robinson as well as Twin Hills special education teacher Nicole Ellwood for being selected as the 2016 West Sonoma County Teachers of the Year!
You can see the surprise announcements in a fantastic video created by Analy students Ben Tiche, Brad Semarest and Payton Cords who are all students in Ann Humphrey’s media classes.  The awards were presented on Friday March 4th.

The Sebastopol Rotary Education Foundation has been recognizing outstanding Teachers since 2007 with a cash award and a luncheon banquet in their honor.  Students, alumni, parents, community members, and educators from across West Sonoma County are invited to submit nominations for the Teacher of the Year recognition program.   Teachers from public schools (including charter schools) and private schools located in West Sonoma County may be nominated.  Two teachers from grades K-8 and one teacher from grades 9-12 will be selected.  Each Teacher of the Year will receive a $1,000 cash award and will be recognized, along with their guests, at a Sebastopol Rotary Club luncheon.
