CalFresh Information to the Families of Students in
AB 402 CalFresh Partnership Districts
CalFresh is a supplemental nutrition program that helps households increase their ability to buy healthy foods so that all Californians have enough to eat. The Sonoma County Human Services Department designated Catholic Charities, an independent non-profit, as a community partner to work with schools to ensure that the greatest number of students and their families have access to CalFresh benefits. Parents can apply for CalFresh benefits for their children even if everyone in the family may not qualify. Healthy food and good nutrition supports student learning and success in school!
Don’t let any of your family members be one of the 4 million people in California who is eligible but not taking advantage of CalFresh. Other terms for CalFresh include SNAP, EBT and Food Stamps.
